All online purchases from this web site will appear as “St. James Cheese Company” on credit card statements. These terms apply to all orders:
PRIVACY
We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone
ORDERS
Orders can be placed 24 hours a day, seven days a week via our web site.
Telephone orders can be placed Monday- Friday from 11am to 6pm CST.
St James Cheese Company accepts the MasterCard and Visa. All prices are subject to change without notice. Catalog prices do not reflect the cost of delivery. We do not ship C.O.D. Sales taxes will automatically be added to any applicable purchase.
CLAIMS AND EXCEPTIONS
Please inspect your package immediately upon receipt. All claims must be filed within 24 hours of receipt. We will do everything possible to re-route orders for timely delivery but cannot be responsible for damaged or compromised product due to the following:
1. Delayed deliveries due to weather or other “Acts of God”
2. Incorrect addresses
3. Unopened shipments (all boxes are clearly marked “Perishable”)
4. Gift shipments sent to recipients who are out of town or otherwise unavailable to receive their shipment. Please notify recipient of the pending arrival of perishables!
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
We do not accept returns on ANY food items, opened or unopened. However, we stand by the quality of the products we sell. If you or the recipient of your gift is dissatisfied with the quality of any of the food items you received we want to try to make it right. We will either replace the item, offer an alternative of equal value, offer store credit for future purchases, or refund the purchase price of the items. Shipping charges are not refundable unless there was a delivery failure on the part of FedEx AND that failure was not the result of the conditions listed above.
We are happy to accept returns on an unused non-food items we sell within 30 days of the date of purchase. Refunds will be issued upon the receipt by us of the returned items.
CUT CHEESE
All our cheeses are hand selected and cut by real cheese mongers. We will make every effort to cut the cheeses to your exact specifications, however it is possible that there will be variation.
PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS
Cheese included in any of our gift boxes may be substituted with cheese of an equal or greater value (at no additional charge) should the original cheese become unavailable for any reason.
PACKAGING
Your cheeses are packaged in insulated cartons and fitted with ice packs to ensure quality standards for up to 48 hours. Items ordered together are not necessarily shipped together.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
It takes a day to receive and process your order.
All perishable items will be shipped with FedEx to arrive the next business day. Non perishables will be shipped via FedEx Ground or USPS Priority Mail unless you specify otherwise.
Shipping charges will be calculated at the time you place your order.
During December and other peak periods, we may require additional days to process and deliver your order and will inform you of any unusual delays.
GIFT MESSAGES
A personalized gift note can be included with all of our products at no extra charge. You will be prompted to write a gift message when your online order is sent to a different name than the one used for purchase. Please be sure to include a signature!
SUPPLYING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
St James Cheese Company collects information from you at several different points on our Web site in order to facilitate the delivery of services or the fulfillment of an order. There will be times, such as when placing an order, subscribing to a service, registering on the site, requesting a catalogue, at which we may request personal information such as your name, billing/shipping address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card information, etc. It is solely your choice whether or not you provide this information. However, should you choose not to provide the information, we may be unable to process an order, fulfill a service, or display certain content on our Web site.
INTERNAL USE OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION
St James Cheese Company uses collected information for internal use such as analyzing trends and statistics, creation of your personalized “my account” section, and sending catalogues and newsletters by mail or e-mail.
EXTERNAL USE OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION
We use outside purveyors for some services such as shipping and credit card processing. In order to use these services we must provide them with some of your personal information. These companies work with us with the understanding that they are not permitted to retain, share, store or use your information for any purpose aside from assisting in your customer transaction with St James Cheese Company.
At times, we partner with third parties to provide specific services, such as sending our e-mail newsletters and mailing catalogues. When you sign up to receive newsletters or mailings, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These companies work with us with the understanding that they are not permitted to retain, share, store or use your information for any purpose aside from assisting in your customer transaction with St James Cheese Company.
